Overview: 

This webinar is geared toward students and new graduates looking to learn more about working within the field of orthopaedic physiotherapy.  Join our panel of physios from across the country, working various Ortho settings, to find out what a day in their work life looks like!

Speakers:

Adam Teece

Adam has been an orthopaedic physiotherapist for the past 10 years and currently owns, manages, and practices at Coeur Physiotherapy in Edmonton, Alberta. He graduated from the University of Alberta in 2011 with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy and from the University of Western Ontario in 2016 with a Masters of Clinical Science in Manipulative Therapy. He is a teaching assistant with the University of Alberta's physiotherapy department and also promotes advanced post-graduate education as an assistant instructor within the AIM system. Adam promotes orthopaedic education locally in Edmonton as the Treasurer and Acting Chair for the Northern Alberta Orthopaedic Division. Adam is passionate about promoting mentorship, clinical reasoning, and advanced clinical practice. Clinically, he works with all areas of orthopaedics and has a special interest in spinal disorders, vestibular rehabilitation, and the treatment of headache and migraines.

Frangiska Xenopoulos

Frangiska Xenopoulos graduated in 2005 from McGill University with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She has since been practicing at CBI Concordia Physio Sport in Laval, an orthopaedic private clinic, working with various clientele. Her passion for musculoskeletal therapy led her to complete a Master of Clinical Science (MClSc) in manipulative therapy from Western University in 2009, granting her title as Fellow of The Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physical Therapy (FCAMPT). Additionally, she has completed her McKenzie training and is a McKenzie Certified therapist. In 2009, Frangiska joined McGill’s Faculty of Medicine as a Faculty Lecturer for the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy. She teaches students in the Bachelors and professional Master’s program and has mentored many entry level and post-graduate students. She also teaches courses to physiotherapists, athletic therapists, and physical rehabilitation therapist within the CBI network. In 2019, she became the Manager of Clinical Services for the CBI Health Laval, and in September 2021 she became the Regional manager of Quebec Ouest Acute Services for CBI Health Services

Josephine (Tianqing) Wei, pht M.Sc.

Josephine graduated with her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from McGill University in 2019. Having worked in a variety of settings including private clinics, homecare, and hospital in-patient & outpatient department, she currently works full time at the outpatient orthopedic clinic of Royal Victoria Hospital. She also has a history of working with McGill Varsity teams from 2016-2019 and is experienced in concussion evaluations and return-to-play protocols. Dedicated to continuing her education and evolving her skills, Josephine has completed several post-graduate courses: McKenzie Part A and B, Radiography prescription for physiotherapists, Manual therapy Level 1, and APTEI Temporomandibular joint management. She is in the process of completing her vestibular rehabilitation courses and obtaining her cancer rehabilitation certificate. She is an energetic and caring physiotherapist dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to every patient.
